Antiques of China is a series of handmade caps that encapsulate the essence of Luke’s unforgettable year living in China. It integrates in our broader collection Antiques with multiple upcoming projects. Antiques of China draws inspiration from magnificent landscapes, vibrant cities, and wonderful people he had the privilege to discover, including the beauty of Yangshuo, the energy of Shanghai, and the grandeur of Beijing, which they were named after.

Central to our caps’ design is a hand-studded letter of white pearls. Pearls have long been revered in Chinese culture as symbols of purity, enlightenment, and beauty. They represent a timeless elegance, and can yet be daring, much like our collection. To ensure maximum durability, the pearls are studded to our caps which prevents them from any sort of movement.

Antiques of China is also marked by this year’s significance of the Dragon, a Chinese zodiac. We have chosen to feature an embroidered gold dragon on the sides of our caps, which is also Andrej’s sign. It uses a metallic thread reflecting a premium touch, gold or silver. The dragon, a symbol of good fortune, spits a heart – another of our favourite symbols that embodies our prominent values. Love is our greatest attribute, especially in these times, and the guiding force behind everything we undertake, creating a deeper connection with everyone who wears and shares our caps.

Our inaugural collection intends to be inclusive and accessible to everyone regardless of genders. We believe that style knows no boundaries, and our caps are crafted to compliment any wardrobe. Whether you are looking for a statement piece or an elevated basic, it is a subtle cultural nod that can fit seamlessly into every occasion.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal, we have decided to produce locally in a partner factory in Hebei province, north-east China, and collaborate closely with local actors. Our use of premium cotton, threads, pearls, and hardware coupled with meticulous craftsmanship underscores our commitment to quality and ethical consumption.

Committed to sustainability at every step, our caps are transferred and assembled in France using the lowest CO2-emitting means of transportation available: ships. By choosing ocean transport, we minimize our carbon footprint and contribute to a healthier planet. From sourcing to assembly, every decision we make is guided by our dedication to environmental responsibility.
